Jessica Wilde is a surface pattern designer based in Staffordshire, England. Her work is inspired by Nature and Botanicals.

Jessica loves to sketch out her designs from a photograph and then creates her abstract watercolour paintings from them. Jessica has produced a range of products from fashion, home accessories, gifts and stationery.

2 – Rachel Taylor

Rachel Taylor is a worldwide known print and pattern designer, creative innovator and stylist, and colour mad.

She is the Owner & Founder of the Rachael Taylor Studio & the Co-founder of Make it in Design & the groundbreaking e-course The Art and Business of Surface Pattern Design.

Rachel is also the founder and creator of the popular Moyo magazine – an online magazine dedicated to surface pattern design and has had over 4 million downloads.

3 – Laura Olivia

Laura Olivia is a surface pattern designer

Laura Olivia is the founder of Laura Olivia textile design studio based in Nottingham. She has been designing since 2010 and her work is well-known for its wonderful loud colours and tropical, gipsy folklore feel.

Her studio works predominantly with retailers & suppliers in the home furnishings industry but she has also designed fashion prints and worked on stationery & beauty packaging projects.

4 – Rachel Moore

Rachel Moore is a creative surface pattern print designer based in England. She graduated with a first-class BA Hons degree from Edinburgh College of Art in printed textiles.

Rachel has been designing commercial prints predominantly for homewares for the past 7 years. She is very motivated and loves the print design business. Normally she works from a brief to create her hand-drawn illustrations that then develop into print designs for the products. She has designed a wide range of prints for products from kitchen crockery collections and packaging to pyjama sets and bed linen.

5 – Kate Frances

Kate Frances is a freelance surface pattern designer and illustrator. She is based in the North West of England. Kates style is based on hand-drawn elements, which make her designs characterful, fun and whimsical.

Her surface pattern and textile prints are particularly suited to the baby and children’s markets, Kate has a wide range of experience in this industry and has also worked on various other projects.

She mainly works in a range of mediums, both analogue and digital.

6 – Rachel Parker

Rachel Parker is a surface pattern designer based in Northampton. She has a huge passion for colour and loves the art of surface design. Rachel is at her happiest when she is free drawing in her sketchbook or playing with colours in Adobe Photoshop. When she needs to clear her head and hunt for inspiration before a new project, she likes nothing more than to roam the countryside with her chocolate sproodle dog Louie.

7 – Emily Burningham

Emily Burningham is a surface pattern designer based in London. Her studio designs and produces home textiles and wallpaper collections made in the United Kingdom.

Emily’s work is well-known for its sophisticated pattern design that explores the relationship between distinctly different eras of art and design. Her unmistakable signature collection depicts time-honoured wood-block printing, a technique traditionally used as a method of printing on textiles and paper.

8 – Megan Carter

Megan Carter is a UK-based surface pattern designer and Illustrator. Megan graduated in 2000 from Staffordshire University and received a BA Honours in Surface Pattern Design.

Megan’s love of drawing stems from her love of the outdoors and she is hugely inspired by the organic shapes from nature. She also loves to explore historical patterns and paraphernalia for inspiration.

She loves the Arts and Crafts movement, Art Nouveau, and the Wiener Werkstatte period.

9 – Jessica Hogarth

Jessica Hogarth is an Illustrator and Surface Pattern Designer based in the coastal town of Whitby, on the North Yorkshire Coast. She was born and raised in Robin Hood’s Bay, a picturesque fishing village famous for its smuggler past. She moved to West Yorkshire to study Printed Textiles and Surface Pattern Design at Leeds College of Art. Jessica graduated with a first-class honours degree in 2010, after spending three years developing the distinctive linear artistic drawing style that she has become known for today.

10 – Abigail Borg

Abigail Borg is a surface pattern designer and Illustrator, who mainly creates prints for wallpaper and fabric textiles. Her work is inspired by her appreciation for playful interior decoration, she loves colour, pattern and creates wonderful vibrant hand-drawn illustrations. Abigail set up her studio in 2009. She has worked on a broad range of projects, from packaging design to murals, pattern design and fashion projects.

Her clients include – J.Crew, Crabtree & Evelyn, John Lewis, The Royal Gardens at Highgrove, Zizzi Restaurants and Aveeno skincare.
