Our First Day at the London Textile fair
We were so excited to be exhibiting at the London Textile Fair, and it was so lovely to meet like-minded textile and surface pattern designers and share our knowledge and experience.
It was held at the London Business Design Centre, which in one word was amazing, absolutely humongous and had so many levels and various rooms and floors even after 2 days I don’t think we managed to see all of it. It was so inspirational to see an eclectic mix of textile designs from geometric, abstract, festival and floral prints.
A fabulous place to hold the first textile event of the new year. The London Textile Fair did not disappoint. We really were impressed by CAKE STUDIOS and gained a lot of inspiration from their print collection.
Our stand was in the Atrium around the top of the interior main mezzanine level and a corner position which was great as we could stretch out a little from the normal 6ft table we had.
There were around 15 print studios exhibiting new collections at the fair and also around 5 vintage companies selling and leasing vintage clothes.
We had had a lovely collection of childrenswear designs from loupen design studio which would work well on children wear, children’s interiors and bedding, and we also exhibited a spring and summer 2021 catwalk reactive prints from our collection of global designers.
Clients started to notice our fresh contemporary new designs that were different from the other design studio exhibiting at the fair.
We took briefs from a few leading brands and are now working creatively to put together a collection for them that will delight our potential clients.
We were also very proud to exhibit some designer’s collections from our marketplace and again caught a lot of attention from the buyers.
